Hello Riverside! And hello to fellow country and line dancing friends! Along with my deep dive into where to go country dancing throughout the southland, of course is included the Riverside and the Inland Empire! This post is to guide you to the 7 Best Country Bars for Line Dancing in Riverside County.
So far, I have 7, but please email or text me if I missed something, or if even more places pop up! For now, check out places like the awesome Temecula Stampede and Norco’s Whiskey River to smaller venues like the Aurea Vista Night Club and Bar, and again, if you are new to the country dancing scene and need help getting started, no experience needed—just bring your boots, a good attitude and good hearted folks will help you get started!
Riverside County – 7 Country Dance Venues
1. Temecula Stampede in Temecula
Now moving on to Riverside County, for Riverside, I think the first place to mention for country dancing has to be the Temecula Stampede!
The Stampede is truly a country dance haven with its gigantic dance floor and big Western atmosphere, including a mechanical bull! As mentioned above, InCahoots can boast of the largest dance floor in Orange County, but the Temecula Stampede lays claim to the largest on the West Coast, at 4,000 square feet!

If you’ve been to some of these other venues like the Swallow’s Inn, for instance, you will love a venue like the Stampede with more than enough room for line dancing, Two-Stepping, etc.
Something unique at the Stampede is the railing around the floor to split the floor for line dancing and progressive partner dancing (see photo below). Interestingly enough, its presence has led to the more agile, youthful dancers making it part of their routine–something to watch for!

2. Whiskey River Dancehall & Saloon in Norco
Next for Riverside County is Whiskey River Dancehall & Saloon! I’ve been there many times and love this small country bar. I even visited years ago when it was still Water Wheel Saloon. While the name has changed, it’s still a fun place to go dancing and a top dance venue in the Inland Empire.
Located at 980 West 6th Street in Norco, it’s easily accessible off the 15 freeway. As part of “Horse Town USA,” you can tie up your horse before enjoying live country music, great food, drinks, and dancing. They recently expanded the dance floor and added a railing—two great improvements!

Weekend nights pick up around 9 PM with live music. This bar is open six days a week and offers many opportunities for line dance lessons and open dancing, even two nights to bring out your kiddos who are under 18! Check out their Facebook page for the latest happenings.
Bring cash for the cover charge. There is an ATM, but it has a fee. Also, get the tacos from the grill!

3. Agua Caliente Casino in Cathedral City
At Agua Caliente Casino, there is another opportunity in Riverside for some line dancing. Join in on their Caliente Country Nights at the Agave Caliente Tequila Bar from 6-10 pm.
This dancing night is hosted by The Bull (98.5) and includes line dance lessons between 7 & 9 pm and then becomes Country After Dark from 9 to 10 pm for everyone’s line dance requests!

5. Dave & Busters in Rancho Mirage
After some time off, the dancing at Dave & Busters in Rancho Mirage is kicking back into gear! The high-energy country dance night with line dancing, Two Step, & country swing is coming back to Rancho Mirage Dave & Buster’s!
Join them on Monday nights from 6-10 pm with free dance lessons from Deena Bartoli and open dancing with a great DJ. A great thing about finding country dancing at Dave & Busters is that it’s not a bar, so the whole family, with all ages, is welcome. Have fun with games and get involved with great country line dancing. Just adhere to their policies of underage kids to guardians.

6. Temecula Wine & Beer Garden in Temecula
Temecula Wine & Beer Garden is a fun little spot for live music Thursday-Sunday. Some of the live bands are country! At the present time I don’t know if there is any official dancing planned, but check out the current monthly calendar on their Facebook page to see what the lineup is! I’m guessing there will be some Two Step at least when bands like American Mile or The James Kelly Band are there!
You’ll find the bar on the left side of the street shortly after you enter Old Town Front Street from the North. Also, if you keep driving (or take a walk) about 1/2 mile further south, you’ll get to the Temecula Stampede on the right!

7. Aurea Vista Night Club and Bar in Riverside
Aurea Vista, at the corner of University Ave, and Lemon, with their Boots & Dukes dance night, is a great dancing opportunity for folks in Riverside. I was made aware of this spot with the Stagecoach dance contests run by Annemarie Dunn of Word In Motion. In 2024, Aurea Vista was one of 11 contest venues where dancers could fight it out leading up to the Stagecoach Music Festival for a spot on the Stagecoach dance team.
